Overview

Mock exams are timed, full-length sessions that simulate the real EASA ATPL theory exam experience. They are the best way to test your readiness before booking the actual exam.
Do not book your real exam until you are consistently passing mock exams at 80%+ for that subject. The EASA pass mark is 75%, but you need a buffer.

Taking a mock exam

Starting an exam

  1. Navigate to Mock Exams from the main dashboard
  2. Select the subject you want to test
  3. Review the time limit and question count
  4. Click Begin Exam the timer starts immediately

During the exam

  • Questions are displayed one at a time
  • You can flag questions to return to later
  • A countdown timer is always visible in the top corner
  • You cannot pause the exam once started (just like the real thing)
If you’re unsure on a question, flag it and keep moving. Come back at the end don’t let one hard question eat your time.

Submitting and results

When you submit (or when the timer runs out), you’ll immediately see:
  • Your overall score (% correct)
  • Pass or Fail against the 75% threshold
  • A breakdown of your score by chapter
  • Which specific questions you got wrong
All exam results are saved to your Analytics dashboard for long-term tracking.

Exam strategy tips

Take mock exams in a quiet room, without notes, at the same time of day you’d sit a real exam. The more realistic the conditions, the more useful the feedback.
In practice mode it’s fine to check answers as you go. In mock exam mode, resist the urge just flag and move on. Train the discipline you need on exam day.
A single mock exam result is a data point. Three or four in a row are a trend. Use the Analytics dashboard to see whether you’re improving or plateauing.
After a mock exam, go straight to the chapter breakdown. If one chapter is dragging your score below 75%, go back to Practice Questions and drill that chapter specifically before re-testing.
